POWAY: Deputies arrested at least seven on allegations of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol since Aug. 7. All but one of the arrests were made after 11 p.m. One driver was a minor.
POWAY: A motorcycle valued at $1,500 was reported stolen on Avenida La Valencia Aug. 18 between 12:01 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
ESCONDIDO: Police conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint from 6 p.m. to midnight Aug. 13 in the 1100 block of North Centre City Parkway. Four drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI. Three uninsured drivers were cited. Two people were cited for driving with a suspended license; 32 unlicensed drivers were cited. Two child-safety seats were reinstalled correctly. Authorities determined that two drivers had deportation orders for felonies. They were turned over to immigration officials.
ESCONDIDO: Four women were arrested on suspicion of prostitution between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Aug. 12 in the area of North Broadway and East Valley Parkway.
